Phil Wagstaffe of 'Action for Blind People' arranges for members of the BKJJA and LUJJC to do Actionnaires sessions. Students from St Vincent's School (http://www.stvin.com/) sometimes attend the sessions. The sessions are usually held in the University's sports hall. Some sessions have been held in Greenbank Sports Academy (http://www.greenbanksportsacademy.co.uk/) and Stretford Leisure Centre (http://www.traffordleisure.co.uk/stretford.htm). The clubs are also invited to help at 'Merseyside Inclusive Sports Tournament' (MIST) organised by Dave Kelly of Daisy UK. These MIST over the Mersey events have been held in Shorefields Technology College, Dingle Vale (http://www.shorefields.com/) and the Barnstondale Centre on the Wirral. (http://barnstondale.org). These events are where youngsters with disability take part in the same sport activities as their friends and family. The clubs provide training sessions and perform demonstrations at these events. There are several goups of Actionnaires throughout the country that are promoted by 'Action for Blind People'. The groups help youngsters with Visual Impairment (VI) take part in sport. Some of the youngsters have multiple, or other, impairments. If you want more information check out www.daisyuk.com or www.actionforblindpeople.org.uk.
